The Chuckwagon Drive In opened in May 2014 as a take-out kitchen beside Newburg Country Store, on Route 994 in Todd Township, four miles east of Raystown Lake near Entriken. The original store restaurant ran from 1983 to 1995. The owner's family set out to bring back its classic menu.
The menu named in the 2014 article covered fried chicken, pizzas, strombolis, burgers, wings, cheese steaks, milk shakes and hand-dipped ice cream. That article says the business runs mainly on take-out, with a large pavilion behind the building and a few tables on the front porch. It also describes an adjacent arcade with a pool table, a video game and a jukebox.
The newest page this check found that names the Chuckwagon is a visitor guide last changed in October 2020, and it gives no address, phone or hours. The Visitors Bureau listing for the store does not name the restaurant.
