Tatman Run Beach/Recreation Area sits at the southern end of Raystown Lake, across Route 994 from Lake Raystown Resort. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers manages it, according to Daily News reports. Jim Cheney of Uncovering PA lists it among the access points for visitors without a boat.

The Corps closed the area in September 2024 for a stream bank and bridge project coordinated with PennDOT. In May 2025 the Corps said the swim beach had failed an E. coli water test and would stay closed. A July 2025 Daily News story says the Tatman Run swimming area has a life jacket station and that Raystown's beaches remain open for public use that summer, without mentioning the May closure.
