Mount Union borough

The Captain Jack Motel

The Captain Jack Motel in the early 1950s, a new type of lodging for a new era. The brick boom was waning, but Mount Union was adjusting: highways, automobiles, travelers passing through instead of staying for business. The motel represented a different kind of future.

Nothing further from the county histories. The six histories held here end in 1913 and this story belongs to 2015, so there is no passage in them that bears on it. Rather than attach an unrelated page and let it look like corroboration, this story stands on the sources listed below.
