May 11 1937 to January 7 1960 is 22 years and about 8 months. Rounding up to 23 is an overstatement of a checkable number, so the rewrite says twenty two. Name corrected: it was the NATIONAL Republican Congressional Committee, which he chaired from 1953. Sharpened: 'a key player on the Ways and Means Committee' is vague. The source says that at his death he was its RANKING MEMBER. Say the actual position. The missed fact: he died in office, on January 7 1960 at Bethesda Naval Medical Center, several weeks after brain surgery. That is why the service ends in 1960, and the original presented the end date as if it were a retirement.
