A postcard photographer went up over Huntingdon and shot the borough looking west, with the Juniata and its bridges running away below. It was published in the town itself, by W. A. Grimison and Son, and printed on the linen stock that gives postcards of this period their texture. The Boston Public Library, which holds it in the Tichnor Brothers collection, dates it no more precisely than between about 1930 and about 1945, and that is as far as this page will put it either.

What the fact check changed. The photograph's own record places it in Pennsylvania, Huntingdon county, Huntingdon, and names the Huntingdon publisher who issued it. The date is the library's own hedge, quoted rather than narrowed.
