Raystown Golf Resort

Seasonal

An 18-hole golf course on Standing Stone Road near Raystown Lake, with a clubhouse bar and grill, reopened in July 2025.

Raystown Golf Resort is an 18-hole course on Standing Stone Road in Huntingdon, a few minutes from Raystown Lake. Before it reopened, news reports called the property Standing Stone and Sunset Golf Club. Geoffrey Cornish designed the layout in the early 1970s, according to the Altoona Mirror, and the new owners kept the original 18 holes.

The clubhouse has Snapper's Bar & Grill, which the resort's site says is designed to serve golfers first and others too. The restaurant keeps its own hours, open Tuesday to Saturday from 2 pm to 8:30 pm and closed Sunday and Monday. The resort also hosts leagues and tournaments, and has a driving range that its site describes as open to the public.

Memberships for 2027 are listed at $1050 a year for ages 30 to 64, and members get free green fees, per the membership page. Luxury cabins and campsites are listed as future plans on the resort's site. The 2026 schedule lists the Veteran's Day Cross Country Scramble for Saturday, November 7.

State Game Lands Number 322

A Pennsylvania Game Commission tract in Huntingdon County with its centre point in Oneida Township, used for hunting, trapping and hiking, including the Cliff Trail.

State Game Lands Number 322 is a state-owned tract in Huntingdon County with its centre point in Oneida Township, listed in OpenStreetMap as run by the Pennsylvania Game Commission. The Commission says the primary purpose of its state game lands is management of habitat for wildlife, that they provide opportunities for lawful hunting and trapping, and that secondary recreational uses are permitted.

A Daily News article from September 2026 names the Cliff Trail on this tract as one of at least three known hiking trails in Huntingdon County that run through state game lands. The article gives no length, parking spot or trailhead for it. The Commission's maps page says its state game lands maps are PDF files, found by entering the game lands number in a search bar.

Hunters and hikers use the same state game lands in the fall. Fluorescent orange must be worn on state game lands from Thursday, Oct. 1, through Sunday, Jan. 31, 2027, and a Game Commission official says the requirement applies to people walking pets as well as to hunters.
